Home remedies for oily skin.

Oily skin is shiny, thick and dull colored and a pain to deal. Oily skin is a skin that results from overactive oil producing. Oily skin can be really frustrating when excess oil accumulates with sweat during summer. The excess oil results from the sebaceous glands in the skin producing excess sebum. The excess oil accumulated on the outer layer of the skin leads to the development of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and skin irritation. It has large pores and the skin has a coarse look. But there is one big advantage. Oily skin tends to age better and develop fewer wrinkles than dry or normal skin. Genetics is the main cause of an oily skin. So, it’s not all bad. 1) Cucumber- Cucumber removes excess oils from the face without making skin dry can and be used for oily and sensitive skin type. Cucumbers are also very beneficial for oily skin due to their cooling, astringent, and soothing properties.It is rich in vitamin and mineral content, including vitamins A and E, magnesium, and potassium, are good for oily skin. Since cucumbers have the property of cooling it can be a better option against lemon for sensitive skin.
How to use- Cut a fresh organic cucumber into thick slices, and rub them thoroughly on your face. Leave it on overnight and rinse with warm water in the morning. Do this daily before going to bed.

2) Apple- The malic acid in apples helps exfoliate dead skin cells and absorbs excess oil from the skin’s surface. Apples are considered to work well for cleaning dirt from skin. Apple's work as a great exfoliating agent and they have mild antiseptic, astringent, and soothing properties that make them a great home remedy for oily skin.
How to use-Add a few drops of lemon juice to apple paste and apply it to your face. Keep it for 15 minutes and then rinse it using cold water.

3) Aloe Vera-Aloe Vera is popular especially amongst those who are trying to make their hair growth faster but most people are not aware that Aloe Vera can also be used on the skin.Aloe vera gel is very effective in reducing the grease from the skin.This method is very simple and gives better results quickly. It is rich in antioxidants, moisture, and skin cleansing extracts that make it a good natural face cleanser.
How to use-  Extract the gel of aloe vera and apply it to your face. Keep it for 20 minutes and then wash it with water. 

4) Lemon- Lemon is the most widely used natural product for removing greasy oils from the skin.It has antiseptic properties that can lighten skin discolorations and restore the skin’s pH balance. This natural skin cleanser contains citric acid plus vitamin C that makes skin oil free and fairer looking. This home remedy will remove oils and moisture from the skin making it dry. Hence remember to provide adequate moisture to prevent build up of more oils. 
How to use- Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice, one-half tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of milk. Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off with cold water. If done once daily, this remedy will give you positive results within a week.

5) Tomatoes- Tomatoes contain a high source of vitamin C and it is very helpful for acne-prone skin. Tomatoes are great for oily skin due to their cooling, clarifying and astringent properties.The natural oil-absorbing acids in tomatoes help get rid of excess oil.
How to use- Cut a tomato in half and rub it on your skin.Massage it for 5 minutes and leave for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with water and pat it dry and apply a light oil-free moisturizer.

6) Yogurt- Yogurt contains lactic acid that helps gently exfoliate the skin and absorbs excess oil from the face.It is a natural astringent and full of good vitamins, nourishing the skin both from the outside and within.
How to use-Apply one tablespoon of plain yogurt thoroughly over your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water. Apply it daily.

7) Egg white- Egg whites are naturally high in Vitamin A that can be helpful for the skin in the long run.It is high in vitamin A, egg whites can effectively dry out skin blemishes as well as tone and tighten up oily skin.
How to use-Whip one egg white, add the juice from half a lemon and mix it well. Apply the mixture on your face, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
